FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • My therapy services are $200 for Individual sessions and are 45-50 minutes.

  • I am in-network with United Healthcare/Optum and Aetna. If you have one of those insurances, then your cost will be depending on your coverage (typically a Copay or contracted insurance-rate until your deductible is met).

Any other insurance would be considered Out of Network.

  • If you’d like, I can provide you with statement, called a Super Bill, to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement as an Out of Network Provider. You may want to contact your insurance to determine you if you have out of network benefits and what they may be. If you have questions on this, we can discuss it more in a consultation.

  • The best way to get started is to schedule a free consultation appointment. You can do so here.

Hey THERE!

I’m Melissa

A therapist who’s also a mom based in the San Marcos-Carlsbad area in San Diego County in California. My therapy practice is dedictated to working with other moms, especially those in the postpartum time and early motherhood.

As a mom myself, I understand how overwhelming motherhood can be. The person you were before becoming a mother is different than you are now.

At Happy Moms Therapy, I’m here to support you through this all this- including processing any past trauma (including birth trauma), treatment for postpartum depression + anxiety, and navigating common motherhood struggles including the mental load, relationships, and parenting struggles.
